She lives on the fringes, on the edge of the world, a wild child abandoned in a cupboard, she grew up in the depths of a forest, raised by a wild animal. Méline is the monster born of the violent civilised world, cowering between light and shade. Adapted from a novel by Anne Sibran, Je suis la bête is the story of the metamorphosis of our mental space, a rebirth through words and silences. Directed and performed by Julie Delille, who brings to life a character who seemingly emerges from the depths of time, this story unfolds in an immersive sound system from where we hear the buried words of memory, the sounds and smells that spring from the bowels of the earth.
